have been riding skateboards alot lately. We are both filming little video parts and trying to document as much FUN as we can! Nothin crazy just boys bein boys and what not! Since i havent posted anything on here in foreverrrr i thought id throw on some garbage clips that were taking up space on my laptop! its a whole bunch of lame tricks, silly yelling at the wind while riding a board with no bearings in 2 wheels, dark clips, the cops, tail stalls and other fun stuff.... enjoy!

when i started skateboarding, my mom told me i had to wear a helmet. failure to do so resulted in me not skating for a week or however long she saw fit. needless to say out of love for skateboarding i was willing to wear a helmet. those days are gone now but the video documentation will live on forever!

this was a "part" that i made a long time ago, probably the best thing i will ever produce. i had a camera that recorded on vhs tapes. because i didnt have any editing equipment, i had to be creative. somehow i figured out how to plug my camera into the vcr. i inserted a blank tape and when the cameras tape got to a clip i wanted in my part, i hit record on the vcr. it took forever and you can see where each clip is cut off thanks to the tracking (aka the snowy parts every few seconds for those of you youngsters not familiar with vcrs haha)i also somehow figured out how to connect a cd player to one tv, which was connected to another tv so i could record a song onto a fresh vhs tape while also copying the original tape onto the master tape. i used a random song from lifehouse because it was long enough and i thought it fit some of the pathetic skating, but i decided to change that to some maiden, again because its long enough and more fun to listen to. so please sit back and enjoy my first part, im proud of it and glad i can look back on my history on a skateboard.

i honestly think i was better at skateboarding back then....

Well the game of skate was a HUGE success! Congrats to Shawn Youles for taking first place! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us in our effort to help Elijah Moore. is the funnest park in michigan! aside from the dusty slippery floors and sometimes overcrowded space, i have never had a bad experience there! everything is well made, although it seems like a few sheets of skate-lite could be replace haha! We had a blast making this update and hopefully we can go back there and film some more fun stuff!! the lights and the camera used to film this video didnt agree at times, so there is some blurry spots in there, but you should be able to get the idea! (and vimeo has officially stopped working right so the sound is off a little)

its been a week since anything new has been put up on this thing, theres a few good reasons for that... and as soon as i make up believable reasons ill let you know! just kidding! we found a fun song and wanted to film an appropriate amount of video to do the song justice. on top of that silly is working on a secret project and all of his footy goes to that, but im sure it will end up on here soon too. and on top of that still, its supposed to snow on friday which might put a damper on any street skating!! on a bright side, my girlfriend was nice and let me borrow a film camera to take fun pictures with and i think theres only 6 left on the roll so when those get developed ill try to get them up on here too! until then just keep checking back and more importantly, keep having fun skateboarding! (its what its all about)

11-13-1999 I was turning 11. At my birthday party I received my first skateboard, a cheap, k-mart board with no concave and wheels that barely spun. 10 years later, I'm turning 21 and there hasn't been a day that's gone by I haven't skated, or thought something pertaining to skateboarding. Every time I skated might not have been as much fun as the last, but it was always fun in some way. There has never been a point where I have seriously considered quitting skateboarding, and if I did the thought passed as fast as it came. What can I say? From the moment I stepped on the board and instantly was laying on my back, I knew it was meant to be! So heres to you, skateboarding. I have loved you when you worked in my favor and hated you when you attacked my shins, obsessed over you when i couldn't be with you and dreamed of you more than...well whatever it is boys between the ages of 11 and 21 should be dreaming about? I guess you could say I "fell" in love with you.
Hopefully I can get another 10 years of skateboarding out of my skinny, awkward body. (maybe even ten after that but lets work with what we have)

Caveman and Matty D went out there and visited him for a week and he generally sends me footy of him KILLING it out there. This post took a little longer than i had hoped... Okay, a lot longer. Fall in Michigan is supposed to be the best time to skateboard but this year is kicking my butt! Rain rain go away blah blah blah! Hopefully it will take a turn for the better, or dryer, soon. BUT if it doesnt, spend some time with your significant other. Nothing makes you not think about wanting to skate like cuddling up in front of a tv watching something other than skate videos!! Or you could just watch this video over and over and wish you were having as much fun as the people in the video were!!!

To the new and improved website! This is basically Cavemanandsilly.blogspot.com, except it will hopefully be a little more focused on the local skateboarding scene as a whole instead of just two people with random guest appearances. If you havent heard, Silly is joining the army. When asked what was going to happen to his amazing abilities on a skateboard he replied, "Skateboarding, like any other activity, is just a drug that in any stage and form must eventually realistically be terminated at some point in an individuals life. and thats the avenue i wish to take. " So IF you happen to see Silly, wish him luck in the new direction his life is headed.

Caveman and Silly would also like to thank everyone who actually watched our poor excuse for a skateboard website. It was so rad to have people we barely knew come up to us and ask us when we were going to update the site again. So again, thank you to all our friends! I hope this website can hold your attention as well as the old one did.

That being said, I, Caveman am still completely addicted to skateboarding. However I do have other obligations in life aside from skateboarding that require my attention, and I am more than happy to give it to her, er I mean them, so the posts on here will be less than daily. I'm hoping to maintain some kind of consistency, I just dont have a car or a job at the moment so getting out or buying tapes is challenging. Either way the main focus of all of this, just like cavemanandsilly.blogspot.com, will be the same... HAVE FUN!!!!!!
